it is a very obvious display of the greed and corruption this country has in it's government system. improving the economic status and public welfare is clearly not the primary objective of the "politicians" involved in this issue. it's ridiculous how this is even being "considered" by the government. These people are just looking for a quick rise to power and of course, the money that comes with it. Cebu is one of the fastest growing provinces in our country. It is now being dubbed as the Second Manila. Obviously, there's nothing wrong with cebu. This is where that famous quote is very very applicable. "if it aint broke, don't fix it! "

thanks for the space to air out my opinions. keep up the good work cebuconnection.com

first of all guys lets not be tooo negative about it. maybe not all of us understands WHAT SUGBUAK IS, WHY ARE thry THINKING OF SUCH, WHATS THE RATIONALE. i think the best thing is to be open minded about it, ask ngano? unsa mani? para asa ni? we cant say if its good or bad until we get the whole scope of it. my point is, lets not react right away without the full info about it.

What is wrong with the Cebu that we have now? Why divide it? What for? If the only reason why we have to break it apart is because officials have a problem with each other then why not just change the officials? Instead of building new issues why can’t they just resolve the older ones and get on with it? Keep Cebu the way it is!!! Improve it but don’t break it apart!!! This will just create further competition, build grudges and create more positions for corrupt and greedy officials.

our officials have decided thinking everything thoroughly for the benefits of their pockets. if so happens that sugbuak will be approved, the lead officials will take hold of the budget of the land he is elected in. ppl are just plain greedy to let this pass. i say no to it. i can only imagine that one day, from corner to corner, it will be another district. bisag pwede rang malakaw, lain nang distrito. what a foolish proposition this is!
